Good Question - 06-11-2007, 03:10 AM

Chad... I will give you 2 answers ..I will answer yours with only 1 album
of course that would be my favorite..
and the 2nd would be 5 albums I would bring if hypothetically I was only allowed 5..that would really be more of a representation of my personal taste..

Kind of Blue ...Miles Davis ( is the answer to yours)

Legend ...Bob Marley
Meet the Beatles ...The Beatles(sentimental reasons)
Mahler's 4th Symp. ...George Szell and The Cleveland Orch.
A Love Supreme ..John Coltrane

Hope you don't mind the extras ..just wanted to share

Hi chad,
I think I will follow Nightfly's lead and give you the one album which I could not leave behind and four other favourites.
Number one on my list would have to be 'Misplaced Childhood' by Marillion. I can not count the number of times I have listened to this album, I just could never get bored of it.
(2) - (5), in no particual order: -
The Boatman`s Call by Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.
Blue by Joni Mitchell
Selling England By The Pound by Genesis
Picaresque by Decemberists (this one might fall off the list in six months, the other are all there to stay).
Cheers,
Dave C

Hi Bokr,
I'll give the Gazpacho album a try (from a very quick listen the vocals sound like Steve Hogarth, the guy who took over from fish); but what is the album(s) you would take to take to a desert island??
Cheers,
Dave C

Hi all guys,
only one is not enough. I suppose I would arrange something to have more.
Anyway in random order:

Tom Waits - Blue Valentines
Jim Croce - Greatest Hits
Genesis - Supper's ready
Jethro Tull - Living in the past
King Crimson - In the wake of Poseidon
Fourplay - Fourplay
James Taylor - Sweet Baby Jane
G. Mahler - 9th Simphony - Bruno Walter Wiener Philarmoniker

Ciaoooo

Harold... Love your top choice....if I would have continued to a top ten
instead of 5 that I limited myself to.. I would have picked for myself #6 Tom Waits either
Heart Attack and Vine .. Or... The Heart of Saturday Night.. I couldn't decide so I didn't include in top 5 either one..
By the way his new 3 disk collection of unreleased tracks "Orphans".. is beyond excellent.
Take Care..
Night fly
