What a night last night, went to Wembley Arena UK and watched the warm up band Symphony X followed by Dream Theater. It was a really great LIVE show and I thought the star of the show was the Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy, now he really has a proper drum set, he had so many, you had a job to see him until he stood up, but could he play them, probably one of the best drummers I have ever seen LIVE!
A great night all round, both bands were on top form.

Sounds like you had a great time! Excellent..

Can you make a recommend for me for Dream Theater ?...only heard
them on the radio but liked what I heard.

Years ago I went to see Procul Harum didn't expect much, but they
also had one of the best drummers,I've ever heard..It's always great
to find and hear great musical surprises like that.

To start you off for a few cents, try Score 20th Anniversary World Tour, 3x CD, sort of greatest hits with an orchestra, similar to Metallica's S & M!

Finally I have requested Liquid Trio Experiment (the same) from mp3sale, who have a new album out on 22/10/07

I would class them as progressive rock, and I like them, both mp3fiesta & mp3sale have a big back catalogue cheap as chips.

P.S. after googling Mike Portnoy, it turns out he has won so many awards for drumming, its hard to believe.

I found this gem this morning, took a chance and downloaded it, and rather good it is. A quirky LIVE album with a good drum solo included, but the strange thing is, I cannot find this album anywhere else, Russian sites, Amazon or even the Dream Theater official website, so I have no idea where it came from?
