I've been listening to Kathleen Edwards' cd "Asking For Flowers" this morning. She's a singer/songwriter from Canada with a great voice and is backed by a great studio band on this cd (with Benmont Tench from The Heartbreakers and pedal steel guitarist Greg Leisz among them). She writes songs with heartfelt and penetrating lyrics.

This one, "Asking For Flowers" reminds me a lot of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car":

Excellent ..Thanks for bringing her up.I have a DVD Tribute to Graham Parsons
and she sings with John Doe on 2 numbers.Always wanted to get more into her.Thanks for the recommend...and the 2 songs..

Hey, no prob....if anyone wants the new cd, Millisong has it and her other 2 cds at a reasonable price. "Asking For Flowers" is only $1,63.
