No idea why, but one of my favourite albums which always gets pulled out when summer arrives is Martin Stephenson & The Daintees & Boat to Bolivia. It has not been played so far this year,
Cheers,

I always think of Will Smith (DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince) Summertime.

Otherwise recently, The Gorillaz Feel Good Inc reminds me of summer. BUT I also hate summer as I live in a place that is HOTTER than HELL (not the Kiss album either). 100 degrees, plus 100% humidity, plus large mosquitos = not a nice place to be in June/July/Aug/early Sept

GO SOX!!!!!!!

Summer...always gets me in the mood for older classic rock. Certain bands like Chicago (Sat. in the Park), America (Tin Man), Steely Dan (Rikki, Do it Again, Bodhisattva) I love hearing when it's warm. Also Stevie Wonder (Boogie on reggae woman, Higher ground, Sunshine).

And then there's the classic song, "Summer" by War. Sort of a rite of passage into June.

Beach Boys will always mean Summer to me. My brother is quite a bit older than me and I have lots of childhood memories of summer days driving with him to Santa Cruz, in his '65 Mustang convertible, with the Beach Boys blasting from an 8-track.

Good to see them get a mention.
They were a fine band back in the 80`s.
Intelligent, classy pop

I saw the Beach Boys every year until Carl Wilson died...The first
summer concert I took my daughter to was the Beach Boys..
They were so festive, beach balls flying, good vibes, she loved it and was standing on her chair dancing, she was 8...good memories..(second was Santana)
Wonderful magical band. The Beach Boys and their songs about the beach
and romance are especially good in the summer. Each song was like a
polished gem.

My only memory of the Beach Boys is where "Uncle Jesse" on "Full House" got up on stage with them to perform and they did some song about Kokomo.

Uncle Jesse is still hot! I love Full House. It was the first show I watched when I arrived in the US as a kid. I still get excited now when it comes on TV in reruns.

Speaking of stand-up comics (from the other thread), I heard that supposedly Bob Saget is a really really good one. Not at all in the vein of his Full House dad character, but really sharp and funny. I wouldn't know. I've never seen him do stand-up.

I have seen Bob Saget perform on TV he is decent, but not one of the great
wits of our time..But nothing like his nice guy TV persona.
