Speaking of stand-up comics (from the other thread), I heard that supposedly Bob Saget is a really really good one. Not at all in the vein of his Full House dad character, but really sharp and funny. I wouldn't know. I've never seen him do stand-up.
Full House was a great tv show. Have all the seasons. Still waiting for my favorite shows to get full releases or released period on dvd. The Wonder Years and Growing Pains.

Yes, I know it's unusual for me but to get back on topic .... but one of the albums that so invokes the Summer, for me, is "Costello Music" by The Fratellis Just listened to it again and I want to grab a group of friends and head down to a beach for an all night BBQ (the fact that it's clouding over and the nearest beach is at least an hours drive away is neither here nor there )

I love that album!!!! Most of the songs are on very heavy rotation all the time on my iPod. Can I join the BBQ? I bet you make some great barbequed ribs!

Put it on now. There was such a sudden terrential downpour here for the past hour, and now it stopped. Thunder, lightning, pitch black sky. Now it's clear and sunny!!!

Yep - Fratellis, Kooks, Amy McDonald, Lily Allen, KT Tunstall, Klaxons. All summer music.

And the ultimate summer music :- ABBA and Ace of Base.

.... I can feel the opening bars of "I'm blue, daba di daba dai" by Eifel 65 stirring inside me. Definitely a sign that summer is around the corner!!

Thanks Nightfly But you're invited too so I had hoped you'd manage the blues for the night (thought we'd stick it after midnight when the moods getting mellow).
Vik will be round to pick you up shortly
