Well, he's done it all, right? So, on this album to me it seems that he is going after....well.... everything! Every track accomplishes a different goal. Or maybe it accomplishes nothing at all, and he is just having fun and giving a go at "come what may". Do you know what I mean?? Probably not. This album is a little difficult to categorize.

Either way, it's interesting. But, I still prefer the "headbangingness" of the Jam, and the "soulfulness" of the Style Council. I also love "The Wood". So, I pretty much love Paul Weller. This one will be a grower though, but I am willing to give it a chance.

Thanks...I got what you're saying, some artists have so much to say they
want to get it all out.But then it loses some coherency..It happens at times with very creative people.

I am not sure he was looking for coherency!! So, in that respect, perhaps he achieved his goal. Either way, it's an interesting listen
