I think your first sentence is very true. Unfortunately as soon a fix gets well known, the people in the powers flex their muscles & close it down. I remember reading a very well written post on the allofmp3 blog ages ago (~12 months) on this subject. The post was then mysteriously deleted from the blog, so who knows what that means

. If I had to guess I would say that maybe mp3sparks are getting properly hassled by the Russian government and they are just having to get that sorted out before they can do anything
