BBC have also just confirmed this news with an interesting 5 minutes business news section talking about it, and about the fact they'd had to move the servers twice in Russia with pressure from the Government and that they'd now simply re-started under a new name.

BBC web site also just been updated today:

Good reports. Allofmp3 / mp3sparks must love stories like this as it is excellent free advertisement for their sites. Both of these reports give convenient links directly through to the mp3sparks site; for people did not know how to find them already. This is exactly how I found allofmp3 ~one year ago. The RIAA must be pulling their hair out .
Cheers,
Dave C

Agreed. Susan Schwab, the US Trade Representative, is a complete idiot. How do these morons get these jobs? She certainly must have very little, if any, knowledge of the fundamentals of how the Internet works.

And I'd certainly like to know why she and her office gets to decide how many hoops another country must jump through before they can join the "WTO club". Who crowned her Queen?

I'm as much of a Republican-leaning patriotic, pro-corporation citizen as the next guy, but I can certainly see why others hate us (The US) - for precisely this crap. I'm sure she's got some valid reasons, but I'd be willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that a serious debate with her would eventually devolve into her finally running out of valid points and saying "because that's the way it is". I can hear it now.

And, in my book, an organization like the RIAA representing companies (the big-5 labels) which settled out-of-court when faced with accusations of price-fixing and collusion (a felony anti-trust violation, meaning there was obviously enough evidence against them to scare them) loses *ALL* authority to dictate morals to consumers. The fact that, despite these accusations, the RIAA was able to influence Russia's membership into the WTO is appalling and egregiously hypocritical, on both the RIAA and the US Trade Reps parts.

And it's downright embarrassing.

Ya friggin' greedy hypocrits! F* you and the horse you rode in on! I'm enjoying watching your business model nose-dive despite your frantic and hysterical maneuvering.

If they catch someone like me at the next WTO meeting throwing tomatoes at the police in protest, then you KNOW things have gone too far. . .

Sheeesh!

Well look who she works for! We have a government of idiots right now. The only people in the US government who aren't idiots as far as I can see are Rice and Cheney, and both of them are pure EVIL.

Um, because according to Bush/Cheney doctrine, the US is the world's only superpower and therefore we get to decide everything. Obviously you weren't paying attention!

Well if I'm the next guy, then you aren't much of one.

However, even if you really are, my point above is actually pretty true. A lot of people who styled themselves conservatives paid no attention to what Bush and company were doing for the first 6 years. I am personally appalled that congress, Republican-controlled or not, totally shirked their oversight duties and let a power-mad administration get away with whatever it wanted (aside from having Harriet Meyers as a Supreme Court Justice). It is one thing to have political differences with me. It is quite another to allow a lying, cheating, and stealing administration to get away with murder.

Especially when they're making a MORAL argument. Since when is international trade a MORAL exercise? Also how moral is it to protect the huge checks of 5 major corporations at the expense of the independent artist?

Indeed! Bravo! Hear hear!

When people of varying political stripes ALL see something wrong at the same time, you'd think maybe somebody in a democracy would sit up and listen!

Are these retards ever going to discover that actually striking a deal with Allofmp3.com will make them loads of more money than trying to sue them?
