Hi. I've used allofmp3/mp3sparks a long time ago. A few days ago I decided to give it a new try.

But now I'm having a problem: I cannot download any files. The server just doesn't seem to respond.

The files I've tried to download are ogg files and from the servers 202.101.62.14 and 22.101.62.16 But those servers time out.

Does anyone experiences the same problems or does anyone know a solution?

I was having the same problem. I wrote to support on mp3sparks. They told me to use alltunes as a download system. Go to alltunes download there download file and logon the same logon as you use for mp3sparks. your balance will transfer to them and you will have your music.

Hi smurfmom2004, welcome to the forum and thanks for your post.

To be pedantic, your balance doesn't actually transfer to allTunes www.alltunes.com, it is still there at Mp3Sparks as well, so you can use it there when they get around to fixing this downloading problem. In fact, if you want to, you can order the music at Mp3Sparks and then download it with allTunes.

EDIT: I see they have fixed the previews, maybe the downloading is now working too?

I'm getting timeouts when trying to download files on the 78.157.141.31 server. Are others having this problem? Does anybody know the underlying cause of all these download issues? I mean is it just an internal mp3sparks maintenance issue (server down or something)?

I have just ordered an album through allTunes (Sparks) and it is downloading fine, albeit at the slow evening speed I usually see.

Often people find that if there is a problem with Sparks allTunes seems to carry on working. Only available to you if you are using Windows as there is not a Mac version, although some people have run it using an emulator.

So if you can try the allTunes application.

We couldn't tell you the real reason since we are not associated with them in
any way and would have no knowledge.But if there is a lot of contention
on the server it will slow it down or they can be running B/U s in the background while users still have acccess. I use FreeDownloadManager
with great success.

Could well be contention Nightfly as the download speed from allTunes tonight is very low, compared with what I usually get during the evening peak time.

It is currently crawling along at about 50Kb/s

I do not normally use Alltunes, though it is convenient, because I believe
it is always way slower than your own down loader.
