Hello there - I've trawled this site for a while but haven't posted. Hi to you all from sunny Singapore

Right. Now allofmp3 has finally died, how to I close the account to open the MP3sparks one

I've tried logging in with both my defunct allofmp3 - it says both my emails (I had two accounts) are registered but when I'm sent the password reminder and logged in, says it's not authorised.

Now aomp3 has no site, how the hell do I close the account. I have money on both accounts and also I don't want to have to create new email accounts to start a new account if you get me

Thanks, apologies if this has been done to death - but I think with the site going down it warrants re-asking

I find it hard to believe you haven't read the numerous very recent posts that provided the answer to your question....

Basically, here are a few suggestions (besides using the site search option)

Go to alltunes and download the software and log in with your old aomp3 information... your balance should show up. This assume you are on a Windows machine.

Or... if your lucky... you can go to mp3sparks and log in with your old aomp3 login information and you MIGHT be able to find your balance and old aomp3 information.

There may be other options soon... but, for now those are a few basic options you should try first.

I have a mac - and there I cannot download alltunes

Any other suggestions?

I've tried logging in to mp3sparks with both my old logins both on IE, firefox (cos I'm a thickie when it comes to tech and wasn't sure if it was a cookie problem)

OK... now it gets complicated...

If you had an Intel-Mac compatible Mac, life would be waaay easier... but, I guess not. So... that means that you will have to wait until the allofmp3.ru site opens and transfer your information to mp3sparks. The problem is that no one really knows when this will happen (or even certain that it will happen). However, I did get an e-mail reply from mp3sparks yesterday morning (if my memory is correct) that indicated the allofmp3.ru would be up in a few days. We can only hope that is accurate.

There is another options ... sort of... you might qualify for membership into MM... However, you will need proof of the amount of purchases you have made with aomp3... which is difficult since that information is currently located on a database you can't access or located at a new site you can access. Which leads us back to the suggestion I mentioned at first... wait until (and hope that) the allofmp3.ru site comes available soon.... or, hope that aomp3 comes up with another solution.

I would suggest you keep trying to log in at mp3sparks.... I have noticed where certain individuals who could not access their old balance were finally allowed to to gain access to mp3access.

Finally, you can create another account at mp3sparks (and, yes... you will need a new e-mail address)...unfortunately, there is a good chance that if you open up a new account that you will not be able to fill any balance to be able to buy music. If you decide to open a new account at mp3sparks, there are ways that MIGHT work to gain access to making a balance payment, but that would make this post even longer (if interested do a search - keyword TOR).

Thanks for this info Joe. I did actually look through other threads but it wasn't until I hit this one that it all fell into place; my AllofMP3.com balance is back within my grasp, even though I can't log in to mp3sparks.com yet.

I'm not sure if my mac IS Intel compatible - it's a brand new Macbook. I'll try downloading it later.

Thing is, I speak fluent Russian and have bombarded them with emails in Russian (for some illogical reason thinking this might help - I am bonkers, like my name) and English asking for help.

I guess they are deluged and or reluctant or just plain recalcitrant

I've since registered with musicsale.ru - will see how that goes. But I like the choice of bitrate

ARGH! And believe me, any other form of downloading (you know, the naughty stuff) is thoroughly forbidden in Singapore. Not that I'd go down that route, but hey.

Are you sure you didn't mean www.MP3Sale.ru? (But they haven't got a choice of bitrate )

curious... have you tried to refill your balance yet? Does this work for you at allTunes? BTW, to refill your balance with allTunes.... you need to log into their internet site.

But, they too have a bit rate of only 192 and according to their site their credit card payment system is currently down.

The credit card system on www.MusicMP3.ru has been down for months but you can fill your account on their sister site www.GoldenMP3.ru using the exact same username/password

Remember that www.MP3Sale.ru occasionally is in a similar situation and then you can always use www.MP3Million.com to add to your account
