We keep getting the same question over and over again regarding transferring an account from AllOfMP3 to MP3Sparks - so here is a sticky thread that will try to explain:


What seems like an almost random thing, AllOfMP3 users will experience that a switch link to MP3Sparks will suddenly appear in their balance section. It will look like the attached.


You just tick the "I understand this" box, press the button and then your whole AllOfMP3 account will be transferred to MP3Sparks (seniority, payment list, download history and so on).


At this time we do not know, if all AllOfMP3 users will receive this link or if it will only be a chosen few - users with more than $100 spent for instance.


The only thing you can do is to wait patiently and check your balance section ever so often.

FAQ 1: Why can't I sign up directly on MP3 Sparks using my old AllofMP3 Information?

MP3Sparks is a CLONE of AllofMP3. EVERYTHING was ported, including the user database. If you had an account on AllofMP3 when MP3Sparks was created, your account DOES exist on Sparks (that is why it won't let you recreate your account), but you are not allowed to access it until and unless your AOMP3 account is deleted through the above mentioned transfer link.

As of June 1, Assistance seems to take it personal that users request a MemphisMembership even though they have already transferred their accounts from AllOfMP3 to MP3Sparks and therefore should be able to add to their balances.

I know that not all that made that transfer to MP3Sparks are able to do this, since they are constantly put through Chronopay instead of E-Centru, so this new stance by Assistance might seem unfair to them. But it is Assistance that makes the rules and we can only abide by them

As of June 29 some AllOfMP3 users are able to log into MP3Sparks without using the switch link first. It seems that their accounts have been automatically transferred by the fine people at AllOfMP3.


So a good advise is to test if you can log into www.MP3Sparks.com using your old AllOfMP3 login and password.


If you haven't received the switch link and are unable to log into MP3Sparks using your old AllOfMP3 login/password, you can create a new MP3Sparks account and use Tor to add to your balance (if you are otherwise unable to do so). The (only?) downside to these these stores is that you don't get to choose the fileformat and bitrate like you do with AllOfMP3/MP3Sparks/MemphisMembers.
