If alltunes is history which other russian sites offer 320kbs - 02-17-2008, 05:44 PM

Loyal to the end but in need of new music........ the moment the ability to credit my Alltunes account is back up and running I'll return as they have such a great system. However until then I need to find another site that offers 320kbs quality downloads. Can anyone recommend a particular site i should visit?

Cheers

Hi East-west. You can check out loads of music sites as reviewed at our sister site RuTunes.com, however if 320kbps is a must then you need to head to Millisong.com. Ther're not the fastest to add the latest stuff, but they have got an extensive back catalogue, great sounding files and good customer service. Have fun

Smile Thor wasn't the homely type but was one of the good guys!! - 02-18-2008, 04:59 PM

Thanks for the advice regarding millisound - basic and easy site to use and quality bitrate but seriously limited catalogue.

I do hope alltunes eventually returns to business as normal!

I'v been using Millisound for a few weeks now and it's not bad at all. I don't like having to re-tag the mp3's after they're downloaded, but it's a price I'm willing to pay to get 320 kbps. The one thing I do like is the option to re-download. When you order you albums or songs, its saved as a zip file in your account. You then have the 3 days to download the album. I've had to stop and restart a download due to various reasons, and its never been a problem. I have noticed that sometimes downloads are kinda slow, but that seems to be improving with time. There is definitely room for improvement, but for now it's my online music store of choice.

Hi pooreboy

For a minute there I thought that MILLIsong had changed their download policy to the one that SongsBox, MP3Sale and MP3Skyline use, where you can download your bought tracks as many times as you like - and for as long as you like

LOL, I actually had to go and double check to make sure that I wasn't going blind. Of course it is Millisong and not Millisound. Thanks for the catch solaris. The actual URL being http://www.millisong.com. I'd hate for someone to go to a scamming site that was similar, so it really is better to double check and be sure. Anyway, it is a pretty good site. Not to mention the price is as good if not better when compared to the 320 kbps rate for Allofmp3. But all in all Allofmp3 is still the best all around, and hopefully they'll get their payment system back on track.

Smile sorry for causing confusion - 03-02-2008, 08:46 PM

Just logged on and see I previously referred to millisong as millisound - don't know how I came up with that one!

Anyway between Millisong and Fiesta I am just about happy enough. The catalogues are still not nearly as comprehensive as alltunes or as user friendly but still easy enough to use.

So until the day we all go home, I'll just wait and hope.
