Internet Radio under attack in US. - 06-03-2007, 07:59 PM

http://www.live365.com/choice/

You may not be aware this, but the RIAA is now trying to muscle internet radio. The effect will be to force small stations out of business. More exemple or how the RIAA is trying to limit customer choice through unfair practice. For those in the US, Follow the link and call your Senators and Congressmen. It really does work!

I too have posted a similiar post about this issue..one that also concerns me greatly..here's a link to my post..
http://www.aom3.org/forum/showthread.php?t=180 (Help Save Internet Radio)
I am also a fan of live365.com a great site where anyone can be a DJ and bring their music to the world..
I hope that people will realize how great a loss this will be to music and the internet..
Take care,
Nightfly

I listen to Radio Paradise quite a lot, and they've been mentioning this issue for months. Unfortunately I can't do much about it because I don't live in the USA. The only thing I can do is spread the news...
It's yet another stupid decision, because I have always seen radio as a means to learn to know new music. If this law comes into effect, only the big commercial stations will survive, and they'll play the same bland crap one can hear everywhere. It'll be even harder for the less popular artists to get a hold in the market.

First thanks for the support on saving Internet Radio.. but also a big thanks for the Radio Paradise recommend...I've been listening to it all day..it's like
if college radio was really good all the time ...it would sound like this.... alternate mixed with retro and indie all with good segues and a flow..
Everyone should listen to this station and then realize what would be taken away from us.. because of pure greed...The Internet belongs to the people..
Lets take it Back
Thanks,
Nightfly
