Smile Life is good in MP3Sparksville - 06-20-2008, 12:42 AM

Last week, after a five-month drought, I was able to add money to my Sparks account. Today, after several days of Sparks having been trapped in the Phantom Zone, I was able to add songs to my basket.

For the first time since January 6, there is no melodrama when it comes to music-shopping at MP3Sparks.

I think what zzdocsd is asking is how you were able to top up your Sparks account.
Just to confirm, allTunes is working fine again now, and Sparks is also back up (though slow to load for me)

I paid by Paypal. Which screwed up, and then I had to email Jonathan Rowsell at txtnation. But the codes he gave me worked, and my account got money again. But a few days later, the Paypal option at txtnation did a Tim Russert.

Thanks for the response and sorry about not being clear.

The reason I asked about specifics was just that I tried CMPASS before but it seems to not work in the US.

Where are you, UK, or ? ? ?

I've still got over a hundred bucks left on my alltunes balance but I don't want to go crazy with buying stuff till I can put some more money on there, like another hundred bucks.

(When I first started using allofmp3 and alltues, I was kinda cheap and only downloaded specific songs I really liked, as opposed to albums and so forth. When I go back and start looking around my files I now realize what a bargain they were.)

OK thanks!

I'm in the USA. If CMPASS isn't working in the USA, it's probably temporary. I think in early June we crashed everybody's systems from the demand.

I have a 28k dialup, so downloading entire albums is not practical for me -- not because of the expense, but because of the time. Downloading takes, worst case, 8 minutes per megabyte. Thus I only buy individual songs that I really, really like, so it'll take me months and months to go through ten bucks.

You have my sympathy, tom
I can`t imagine how frustrating it must be to wait that long for your downloads
I didn`t think anyone was still using 28k dial-up.
Any chance of getting a better connection?
It would improve your downloads and the size of your music collection no end.
Anyway, it`s good to see you persevering with what you have, frustrating as it must be.
