Hi all-

I had no idea that this forum existed, or about the June 1st deadline, or about requesting a transfer to mp3sparks (which I registered for on my own). I all but emptied my AOM3 account months ago after reading that the site would be shut down.

I've been a member of AOM3 for 3 years and loved every moment of it. I've only spent $65 in that time, which I thought was a lot, but clearly I'm out of my league. I did send a request for a transfer in today, which I'm not too optimistic about, but you never know.

I'll miss:
The ability to listen to the entire song.
Being able to decide what bitrate I want.
Correcting all the funny id3 tags that sometimes show up.
The amazing selection of music.
The idea that the internet really can knock down walls someone else put up.

Don't be sad.. there is still a good chance that Allofmp3 will work things out and as the old saying goes"when one door closes another opens"..check out some options on this site to get your music fix...while waiting..there are plenty of people here that can answer any questions you have..Smile and enjoy..

hello and welcome to the forum.

watch your balance section in aomp3 for a link that will transfer your account to sparks. this transfer will close your aomp3 account. the good news is though you will be able to use cc again and all your info plus balance will be transfered. opening a new account in sparks will not get you far. you wont be able to use the cc option. so stay alert and watch your balance section. i hope this helps and dont give up.

I have been checking the balance section of my aomp3 account twice a day now for weeks and still no sign of the link to transfer - doesn't look as if I am ever going to be able to download from Sparks

You should do it more than twice a day. Maybe 20 times in a row, twice a day. Just refresh the screen. It comes and goes. The first time it showed up for me, I clicked away and it wasn't there when I went back to my balance. I kept doing it though, and finally it returned.

I just signed up to MP3Sparks, and tried to make my first payment, and got:

Unfortunately credit card payment is not available at the moment. Please come back later or try another method of payment.

Guess I'll take my chances with Assist.ru at Legalsounds. Either that or pay 99 cents at iTunes.

I received the same message. After trying for another few minutes, it let me through to up the balance. It may be overloaded with eager registrants.

I received the 'unavailable' message during the day but had better luck after 8pm Eastern Standard time. I was able to add twice to my MP3Sparks account. I would recommend trying at at an off peak kind of time.

Still no luck - I have just checked my balance about 20-30 time over the past three hours and no sign of the transfer.

Had the transfer option yesterday and missed it, it was just gone... Took several hours to reappear... Hang in there...
