Elusive invite? - 04-22-2007, 06:50 PM

Hi, I'm a new member here at this forum and I guess I'm in the same boat as quite a few people in not getting an invite to Memphis Members.
I'm in the UK and I've put about $800 over the last 18 months, which I don't suppose sets any records, but seems like a reasonable amount.
Unfortunately, I don't know any Memphis Members so not sure how I might get on?
Can't imagine life without allofmp3, which is as much about the service (actually being able to get 320k MP3s - my preference - for example) as it is about the price.
Any advice?

Greetings all - 04-23-2007, 07:53 AM

Looking for ways to top up my allofmp3 account I found this forum and this amazing topic. I was actually looking for information on what appears to be a new payment option by bank wire transfer in the refill balance section of my account and wondering if others had used this option without any problems.
(I will search for this topic on other threads). In the meantime I have contacted Tech Support and put a case for an invite to MM. I have only been a member since Dec 06 but have spent $220 in the 3 months before my credit card payment option was blocked. My argument is that I am a potential $800 + pa account and ought to be given an opportunity to prove my worth. I will let you know what happens.

Hi jacklem and welcome to the forum.

We will of course try to help you out but you will have to be a little patient, though. We can only recommend one at a time.

Solaris is right.

He helped me get Membership.

I currently have a recommendation on the boil as we speak!!

Just make sure you have spent a wad of cash as they WILL and DO check up on you

You also get a nice $15 bonus in your account

The server (in my case certainly) has been rubbish over the past few days and in the last half an hour is the first time I have been able to properly log onto my Memphis account.

I was wondering, what is required to get recommended for the new site? (I'm sorry if I missed this question. I did read the thread, but I'm kinda tired)

Unfortunately, I didn't discover AOMP3 until March9,2007. I've only spent just over $100 there since ($60 of that came from 3 $20 gift codes from this site ). But I LOVE the site. I really like that I can get good quality files with out annoying DRM crap in them. I've actually bought a few more CDs that I don't think I would have with out All of MP3's cheap prices. (who wants to pay iTunes $10, then another $15 for a real CD? )

If it was possible, I'd love to be recommended to the site, but is this possible? My user there is eerie33

I'd really appreciate any help/info!

Thanks

Recommendation? - 04-24-2007, 05:36 AM

Well, the subject of the thread says it all. I've been around since May 2004, and have (so far) extended my personal music collection with some 85 GB of all kinds of music, almost exclusively in 320kb MP3. This has been a true ear- and mind-opening experience, I now listen to music I wasn't even aware of three years ago!

Then the sky fell on my head. I could no longer refund my account. After buying a gift certificate a few weeks ago, I was able to refill thru E-Centru again until just recently. Like most others, as it seems, the AOMP3 guys are silently ignoring questions about payments, including questions about Memphis Members. Feels weird, they're still very responsive and service-minded in all other aspects, e.g. technical and/or download problems, and refund my account to compensate for errors.

I'm currently exploring ways to refund my account, and trying to figure out what this Memphis Members is all about (like, is this for real? And what about the report on credit card frauds, linked in one of the first posts?).

Still, I would certainly like to explore all options of keeping the service running. All hints, suggestions and (especially) recommendations would be very much appreciated!

Best regards
Peer

We'll see what we can do. The list of MemphisMembers in this forum is slowly growing and if every new MemphisMember helps out, that list could soon be growing rapidly.
