Hi, I'm new and this is my first post. I wanted to know what the original source was from the online encoding ( cd, high quality mp3, flac)? I have been wondering about this for quite some time now. Thanks in advance.
For the songs marked as "OE", the original material is 384kbps MP3 (which is a special format called "freeform", the normal MP3 specification only allows bitrates up to 320). For songs marked as "OEX", the original material is uncompressed CD audio. It used to be such that the OEX songs were more expensive, but luckily they dropped that idea a while ago.
For the vast majority of people, the difference between starting from 384kbps MP3 or CD audio will be unnoticeable.
