Option to switch to Mp3Sparks appeared after...

I've just added three Gift Certificates on the amount of $50, $50 and $20 and the link to switch to Mp3Sparks appeared when I visited the Balance page again.

I've been waiting for the link to appear for a while now (visiting the page 1-2 times a day) so I can only attribute it to the increase of the total payments amount over a certain value (in my case it went from $150 to $270).

Perhaps this information can help others.

Unfortunately I'm now facing the dilemma of either switching to sparks or add $50 more (totaling $320) and applying to Memphis :/

Hi SCMartins,

Don't worry you can have both as I have.

Transfer over to sparks and you can add money no problems. To be honest I now add via sparks as I still find my Memphis account has hiccups on occasions.

Once you have sparks you really won't need Memphis, but if you would like both just get over the hurdle, which I believe is now £310 and apply on the forum thread and one of us will put you forward for membership.

I was under the impression that if I was a Sparks member I would have a very hard time trying to get in Memphis, according with the messages I've read of members with $310+ balances who cannot get into Memphis because they moved the account to Sparks.

That's my main concern as it seems I can only have one, not both.

why worry, stay on allofmp and make yourself a new account on sparks. then you can apply through allofmp for MM.
Simple as that.

It could be because I got Memphis membership first then the option to transfer to Sparks.

If you get the transfer option you'll be ok anyway.

I understand that if you do switch to MP3Sparks, you can no longer add money to your account via Ecentru. Apparently, the only option is Chronopay, which isn't accepting VISA or Mastercard from anyone in the U.S. I think this means that yankees can't add money to a MP3Sparks account.

If this is incorrect, please tell me so.

What about the AllTunes software? Does it work with MP3Sparks, or is there a new download manager?

Wait, who ever said Chronopay isn't accepting visa or mastercard from anyone in the US? That is absurd. Of course they are.

Hardly absurd, as this was the case a few months ago, in the midst of a big media frenzy. Both VISA and Mastercard cut off Chronopay billing for AllofMP3. Then we were using Xrost. Then it was E-centru.

Currently, VISA accepts Chronopay billing for MP3Sparks for U.S. customers.

I wonder if I have created my own downfall?
I have an AOMP3 account, but I also created an MP3Sparks account and thanks to Etherbunny's help managed to fund it quite healthily.
In the meantime I have run my AOMP3 account down to $3.
a) Reading the strands why would AOMP3 encourage me to switch to Sparks when my AOMP3 balance is so low?
b) Why would I get an invite to MM when I'm successfully using Sparks?
Unless you guys know different I'm stuck with Sparks, but at least I can console myself that I've got access to good tunes. Just a shame I can't take advantage of the investment I made in AOMP3.
