Out of credit...now what? -

Hi, all,
So, I had $75 US. Now, I am down to $1.40. What can I do to refill? I am cut off credit wise.  |

I would write Assistance and plead with them to see what they can do for you.
If they are actually planning to restore the payment options, maybe they can offer you a temporary fix. They denied me, but I still have $47 in my account which I am now depleting very slowly on the account of not being able to refill. Maybe they will feel bad for you and let you pay somehow - if they do, will you come back and tell us? |

It was $75 US worth of credit. I think I am simply out of luck at this point. I am seriously considering going to buy CDs again....sadness, utter and complete sadness.... |

I sure if you look around the other posts, you will find some other mp3 download sites to suit you. Many people who have run out of credit on MM and sparks have found homes on these other sites, thanks mainly to the excelent work done by the moderator and senior members of this forum  see the quote below for some ideas.

It's not the end of the world. Try a combo of Millisong for quality and MP3sale for quantity. Then just lurk around these forums for news of a Sparks revival/  |

mp3skyline also seems popular, although I have not tried it myself, their skyforger posts regularly on the site, is proactive and seems to take requests and sugestions on board. I have also found mclub good for world catalouge and extensive Russian collection (most of these sites are based in Russia/Ukraine but very few offer Russian music) and the fact that all my requests for new albums have been added within a week (in some cases a couple of days) of asking. |

I find this just a tad fustrating,
Sparks is not only the best MP3 site on the web, it has the best interface, catelogue of songs and bitrate transfer. I can understand the desire by the RIAA and other bodies to shut this site down because they are envious of the fact it is so good but I am now out of credit and given that there is no prospect of funding to be resolved soon it seems to be Sparks will eventually close
Bollocks if I am going to buy CDs now when I have got used to this excellent site

CDs can't replace Sparks. With Sparks you can create your dream CDs, if that's what you wish to do. If you buy them, you're stuck with what the compiler wants on there.

Long time allofmp3 and Sparks user here...I've been lurking around here for months hoping for some good news about my favorite d/l site. I check Sparks every day hoping the payment options have been fixed. It sucks seeing all the new cds being added to Sparks daily that I can't buy
