Please accept my apology. - 01-14-2008, 12:14 PM

Look, don’t get me wrong by my first thread that was closed. I wanted to convey what I thought was some helpful information. Mp3sparks was my only source for music downloads and my favorite website to spend some time at. I told of my friends about mp3sparks, now what do I tell them. Its one thing to be accused of not paying royalties to an artist, it’s another thing when you’re accused of exploiting children. I spent nearly 6 hours on the phone with my ISP trying to figure out why I can’t get to my pay-for-music service, and then I stumble across those two news articles. Of course this is going to make me angry; it makes me feel like my money went to support something as sickening as the exploitation of children. I can’t even tell my oldest child the reason why we can’t get to the website; I tell her that they are “bad people who did a bad thing”. I’m sorry I insulted you and your website that was not my intention. This is a terrible thing to be accused of; it goes against all that I believe in. What I said, was not nearly as bad, as anything they are accused of doing. I hope you accept my apology.

Hi compupro32

MP3Sparks regrettably have the same host as the heavyweight spammers of all kinds of despicable things - but they are the ones who should feel bad about being hosted there - not you...

And I totally agree with you: The sick people, who are responsible for the unspeakable sites you are mentioning, really ARE the scum of the earth

We have nothing to do with the people, who run MP3Sparks - other than communicating with their Assistance on a fairly regular basis, so you didn't insult us in any way

We just wondered why you were posting the exact same article, which we already had a whole thread dedicated to

gluteus maximus also just pointed out that the actual The Register article was clearly based on what he (the writer) had read in this forum

Double Post - 01-14-2008, 03:43 PM

This is what happened. I had completed the login process from the delivered email. I composed my first post, clicked submit, the site diverted me to another logon screen when it told me that I needed to login to post my message. So that’s what I did, that’s when it posted twice. I tried to delete one of the messages, but that wasn’t one of the options available.

Hi compupro32

What I meant by double posting (in this case) was that you linked to an article already being discussed for several days elsewhere in the forum

More apologies - 01-14-2008, 05:49 PM

My apologies to all concerned if my response to compupro32's intemperate first post aggravated the situation.

Hi compupro32

No need to feel so bad about this. I'm sure neither Nightfly nor gluteus maximus had any intention of scaring you away - they were merely trying to explain the forum rules for you

And we know that it is especially difficult for new forum members to navigate the forum to find out if something has been posted before - we just pointed out that it had

You are welcome back, you know
