is there an easy way to download from mp3sparks? - 07-13-2007, 05:41 PM

when i ordered from allofmp3 i'd usually use their software to download the songs since it was easier and it saved them with the naming format i picked.

Can i do this with mp3sparks? I couldn't find a link to download any sort of program from them.

OK So I have another theory.

I think the payment system is just broken. Some people can fund, some people cannot fund, and I think the mighty minds behind the site are busy trying to fix it. Because some people are funding now that couldn'd fund before. I still can't - but certainly there is activity going on. So maybe we're overthinking this a bit.

I can't imagine that they reopened Sparks and still not letting users pay after migrating some of them (like me) over. It's counter-intuitive.

What you you think Vik?

I think it's a matter of just having a flag next to your name that says

Frunze :-

"Can fund?" - Yes/No.
Can log into mp3sparks?" - Yes/No

I'm a DBA (Database Admin)

Also, because I can fund and you can't, and a third person can, and a forth person cannot.

I believe it's all deliberate.

this sucks for me then.
Let me ask you that, since we're in theory land. Why would they actively trip the flag to let me log on but still not allow me to fund? If they didn't want me around, they could have not migrated me, since I am getting through to alltunes. The response could be along the similar lines as you got for recommending someone earlier: "What, she can't get her music through alltunes? She just dumped out 2 hip hop albums, right here, in alltunes, - what does she need sparks for?"

A data inconsistency. I think they are trying to fix it and that's what it means "to fix their payment system". Patch their data.

The way I visualize it - they could fix all this data in 5 minutes for all users - but they must be using a more case-by-case approach and manual interverntion is what's taking so long to patch it all up.

Just thinking as a DBA, that's all.

I'm sure it is all that, but also more complex.

I got through to Chronopay, but then errored AT their site. That is a problem that needs to be fixed. That account (my main one) no longer needs Tor. I funded it once with Tor and that tripped some kind of flag that let me fund it without Tor. So clearly the flags arn't just flags, they are related to IP. My alternate account cannot fund without Tor, but WITH Tor, I just got all the way through to the payment page at Chronopay. So clearly there is no problem there, but there IS some kind of flag preventing that account from funding from my regular IP. It is a very complex thing. That is why it is so hard to figure out.
