what is the difference between alltunes and mp3sparks? - 06-01-2008, 02:20 AM

Hi all,

First, WOW! I'm so grateful that you are here and providing so much guidance.

Secondly, what is the difference between alltunes and mp3sparks? Is mp3sparks allofmp3 v2?

Thirdly, I've just been exploring the different sites and wonder why are these two preferable to others like Lavamus, mp3fiesta, etc. I've read reviews but am just not too clear on all this.

In appreciation,
Chamlin

Welcome Chamlin,

Alltunes is the downloader for MP3Sparks and have the same exact catalogue.

Go to our sister site Rutunes and read the reviews of the various sites each
person has their preferences in what they are looking for in a site.Going
there is a good place to start for more information about finding a site that's
right for you...

In addition to that - yes, Sparks is sort of the reincarnation of Allofmp3.com. Do you have money in the account already, else you best follow the advice of others and try out various sites. To get Sparks funded is a bit tricky these days.

Welcome to our little shindig here. We are very friendly folks

Thanks for the welcome, Nightfly and Vikulenka. Yes, I can see the personal warmth and fun in the interactions on the site.

Curious, how come there is no review for MP3Sparks? And if I can figure out that CMPass thing (oy!) it looks like there is so much to offer on MP3Sparks.

I was cataloging all the music I wanted on MP3Fiesta and was about to fund the account and purchase more than 100 albums...and then of course seeing the doubling of prices hit me pretty hard.

So I'm scouting around now.

Thanks!
Chamlin

Exclelent guidance.

There are also some search engines that have been provided and discussed elsewhere in the forum that may help you -

By album: Custom Music Search by Album

By artist: Music - Artist

Cheers,

Very cool links, Rebel Rebel. Thank you!

1. Am still curious why there is no review for MP3Sparks?

2. On MP3Sparks, at what point in the purchase do you get to choose the bit rate?

Thanks,
Chamlin

1. I have no idea, but you are not the first to ask I guess Sparks is sort of the benchmark site

2) When you click on song or album to add it to basket.

Hi Chamlin

1. Initially we started out with the idea that we wanted to present the shops that not so many people knew - and then we would add MP3Sparks later.

But then came the long period of time, where no one were able to add to their MP3Sparks balances - and we frankly didn't want to take the time to make a review, if it (MP3Sparks) wasn't going to survive anyway.

It certainly looks more promising now. So if more payment options are added in the near future, then you'll see a MP3Sparks review on RuTunes not long after that - guaranteed

2. When you have selected the songs/tracks of an album, which you want to download, you get to choose the bit rate as either 192 kbps or 320 kbps mp3 (in simple mode) - but if you switch to advanced mode, you'll get MANY more file formats and bit rates to choose from
