Thumbs down WHY are you paying for illegal music?!?! - 07-07-2007, 02:21 AM

If you want to support artists why are you buying music from this illegal music stores? Why aren't you on some legal service like itunes or something similar?
Because here is cheaper, or because u want to support thievery and some Russian "businessman" in that.

Why don't you guys use some P2P program like torrent (and search engine for torrents http://www.torrentz.com/) or emule, or limeware, or Shareaza to get illegal music for free, rather than paying for it?! It is easy and fast, and u don't have to give your credit card number to some Russian "businessman".

And if you have router at home you'll need this instructions to set it up.

why do you care who we are getting our music from? you get your music from where you want and leave us to do what we care to do....I would say you are a bit of a control freak!
I for one do not want the viruses and worms that Limewire offers

first: because is stupid to pay for stolen goods if u can get it for free
second: if u use proper protection like antivirus and occasionally anti spyware you'll have no problems

Because --

1) I wouldn't otherwise buy a lot of this music at all

2) Its not available on american version of itunes and I can't buy from the UK version of itunes. Is it my fault that british charts are just a million times better than anything here? I had my hands on Amy Wiehouse, Fratellis, James Morrison, the Kooks, etc etc etc way before they became "singles of the week" on iTunes in the States.

3) I don't have time to go down to Brighton Beach to shop for Russian music CDs.

Did you ever care to inform yourself what allofmp3.com offered? This is in no way comparable to what you get on P2P networks.

Regarding the stolen goods there is also plenty of stuff to read on the internet that allofmp3.com claims to be a legal service in Russia and reimporting music to a different country isn't illegal everywhere. So if only the RIAA and the US says something is illegal this has nothing to do with laws in the rest of the world (thank god!).

So do your homework before coming to a forum calling people stupid when you haven't even spent fucking 5 minutes to get your facts straight...

Have a nice evening.

Edit: Wrong forum btw.

First of all your statements and links to p2p sites are
not appropriate on this site ...and if you would read a little
bit you would find out Why we find the p2p not acceptable
and why we support ALLofmp3..I don't expect you to understand..
BUT I do expect you to be Respectful of this site while you are here
and to be Civil to the sites members..

extensive catalogue - 07-07-2007, 03:42 AM

The best thing about Allofmp was their superior catalgoue. itunes does not even compare in terms of tracks available. 70% of my music library consists of tracks and artists not available on iTunes.

Thank you monar for your compliance...It is appreciated..

and of course your apology is accepted in
the good spirit in which it was offered..you are more than welcome
to your opinons..that's what we do here...share and exchange
ideas and help each other with questions ABOUT Allofmp3 Mp3sparks
Alltunes and Alternate sites..and the various offerings in our forums..
because thats what this site is about..I am sure if you wish to discuss
p2p sites, there must be sites somewhere where your input would
even be welcomed because ...because that's where their interests lie...
But if you are interested in finding out more about why we prefer
Allofmp3 and it's legalities and why we support them ..you are more than
welcome to look at all the posts and ask questions in relation
to the thread. ..and as stated above no more p2p links..thanks. I'm glad we have a understanding...
Now i can say.....Welcome,

Nightfly
