next i decided to get a nano for working out. which i love, it's light and slick when I'm grinding out a workout.....as time went on i wasted the money and bought the 160 gig classic. its nice and pretty but i can't use my volume booster software on it. so it's just a paper weight along with my 2nd generation classic. in fact the 2nd generation ipod is really funny looking. it's really thick and totally old school. it kind of reminds me of an old mac computer.
i finally gave in and bought an iphone. that thing changed my life, literally! lol they don't support service for the iphone in montana but i was able to jailbreak it and unlock it. after that i bought my lady a 32 gig ipod touch which is sweet. it's just like an iphone but you can't make phone calls on it.
i do miss not having the large hard drive on the original ipods that i once used. that's fine though, the iphone and ipod touch are really sweet. if you don't have one i would suggest checking them out.the price is steep but the options that they offer are really great.
thanks,

I am about to break down and buy either the iphone or the touch. I really want an iPhone but I have this ridiculous discount on my phone service that I got through my former employer, and it still applies because they don't know I've left, but no discounts apply with iPhone, so my service will go from $35 to $100, and I would just hate that. But I really want one, so I may settle for Touch, now that they are so cool and sleek. I have an old nano (you know, the long one), but I've NEVER used it (it was a chotchke they gave for attending a business meeting in my company last year).
I know Chad, the old-old iPod IS funny-looking, all kinds of clunky and clumsy. I saw somebody with it the other day and asked them if they intend to do house repairs with is, perhaps pound in some nails and what not, use it for a hammer, etc - got a dirty look and "not everyone considers iPodness to be a measure of coolness" comment.
