Look forward to reading reviews of the replacement 120GB model and may well treat myself at Christmas if they are okay. Hope they introduce the groovy electric blue colour for this model aswell ,

Can't decide whether to treat myself to a new iPod before I move to England, or to use my 60GB one till its last breath. I've had it for 2.5 years. Of course the battery life has suffered tremendously, but other than that I don't have a single complain as do people with regards to the later 80/160 generation. I probably won't be wasteful and keep right on using it, and maybe ask one of my visiting family or friends to bring me one from US when and if it becomes needed.

I'm only guessing, but I guess these thing are a lot cheaper in the US than the UK. I'd get only and then you can show me what it looks like when we go to the opera or pub ,

I will bring you one. You can buy me a pair of shoes; that's a fair trade.

ive rocked them all -
09-10-2008, 05:06 AM
hello,
i started out with a 2nd generation ipod. that lasted along time and finally the headphone jack gave out twice.(common problem with that model) then i bought a 60 gig, which was sweet. i could use software to increase the volume limit.(biggest complaint about ipods, you can't here the damn things)
next i decided to get a nano for working out. which i love, it's light and slick when I'm grinding out a workout.....as time went on i wasted the money and bought the 160 gig classic. its nice and pretty but i can't use my volume booster software on it. so it's just a paper weight along with my 2nd generation classic. in fact the 2nd generation ipod is really funny looking. it's really thick and totally old school. it kind of reminds me of an old mac computer.
i finally gave in and bought an iphone. that thing changed my life, literally! lol they don't support service for the iphone in montana but i was able to jailbreak it and unlock it. after that i bought my lady a 32 gig ipod touch which is sweet. it's just like an iphone but you can't make phone calls on it.
i do miss not having the large hard drive on the original ipods that i once used. that's fine though, the iphone and ipod touch are really sweet. if you don't have one i would suggest checking them out.the price is steep but the options that they offer are really great.
thanks,
cr
