I already said what my own tastes are about headphones. But, if we are talking about price/quality ratio, I would suggest a look at conceptronic.net.
I bought gamestar usb headphones and I'm really glad. Here I paid less than $28; good sound, easy connect (usb), skype talking and so on.
My Koss, AKG, Sennheiser headphones were a little bit more expensive (lol).
Of course they are different in many ways, but conceptronic could be a cheap alternative if you are not looking for state of the art headphones.

Hey people, Great thread!

I'm using the Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 Pro's.

Google them up with "reviews" to see why.

Samuel.

I've been using the Shure E2c-n's for a little over a year - GREAT, GREAT in-ear buds. The MSRP is $100, but you can find them for about $65 - $70 new, which isn't that bad, when you consider the stupid Apple in-ear buds are $40 and they suck. Before that, I stupidly tried to save money and I bought both the Apple in-ears (crap - the left bud stopped working - I had to RMA it, and then the replacement unit did the same thing 6 months later...awful) and the Sony EX-51s and wasn't really satisfied with either, so I sucked it up - did what I should have done in the first place, and got the Shure's. I've also heard great things about Seinheiser's line-up. Although I'm not a big fan of Bose's home theater equipment, their noise cancelling headphones are unbelievable. I'm not sure how good the models aimed at portable playes are (I know they have an in-ear line that is priced about the same as the Shure's), but in general, they are one of those brands that gets to charge more simply because of their name, and not necessarily the quality.

Thumbs up Sony MDR-CD780 - 06-02-2007, 05:11 PM

I enjoy my 5 years old Sony MDR-CD780 almost every day. They are the most comfortable headphones i know of. I wear them hassle-free for hours. The sound quality is cristal clear. I would buy them again every time.

Cheers,

This brings me to my question for jmeyer3131: What does she want to use them for?

I havent tried the bose headphones, but their speakers are awesome. I do have a very nice set of Motorola headphones that are also bluetooth compatible. They have excellent sound quality and work with my phone as well as my computer.

i've used Shure E3's, and they've been the best in ear noise isolating phones. I tried the Voda, and felt like there was a foghorn in my ear. Not alot of noise isolating either.
I've also tried etymotic, which is really nice as well. BUT, the wires are really flimsy, and i broke them while working out.

I also have the Bose over ear noise cancelling headphones, which are quite nice, but definitely not worth the price (I got them as a gift)

I can recommend 2 low budget earphones.

Sennheiser mx500 / mx550: Great,cheap earphone normal ear buds +/-15eur
My current favourite.
I can recommend these to anyone who bought an ipod or other music player with crappy earbuds.

Creative ep-630 : In ear +/- 25 eur.
Too much bass for me, but a good solid in-ear.
(Disclaimer:i turn down the bass on my stereo more then i turn it up)

I'm perfectly satisfied with my Sony Fontopia (MDR-EX51LP). I am really bad with treating headphones, so I go through them like gloves (which I am also bad at treating. Excellent quality of sound, in-ear, and have lasted me longer that most of my previos ones.

The price is good enough for me to consider them disposable and not worry should and if they break. However, so far so good!!!

Plus they come with 3 different buds - which is absolutely essential for me. Contrary to every other pair of headphones I've ever owned - these never fall out.
