i received great info from this place, plus they are located really close to where i live. i would recommend doing business with them for anyone interested in buying a new pair of headphones. if your located close to them you can go and sample all there headphones to find out which pair is best for you. im sure not to many people around here live in montana. thats ok they have a great return policy. anyways thanks for your time and check it out.

Smile Shure SE530 - 09-20-2007, 12:45 AM

After my stunning win at the football last week (had a bet on James McFadden to score first & Scotland to beat France 1 : 0 ) I decided to go mad and treat myself to a new set of headphones. After doing a load of reading I decided to go for a set of Shure SE530 earphones. I've got to say that I absolutely love them and they certainly blow away my old pair (Shure E2c). Having said that, for the price they cost I would have been very miffed if they hadn't. The sound quality is fantastic and they are really comfortable (one of the issues I had with the E2cs). All I have to do now is make sure my wife never finds out how much I spent on them,
Cheers,
Dave C

Are you throwing your Shure e2c out the window, like your old computer? I might be lurking underneath your window sill with Nightfly!

Sennheiser is a great way to go - 05-26-2008, 10:33 PM

Sennheisers are also excellent; my only beef is that I prefer phones that completely cover the ears to block out ambient sound. For that, I like my Sony MDR-V600s. Best bass of any headphones I've ever tried and reasonably priced in the low $100s. I'm on my second pair, which has lasted me five years now without a single bit of degradation; the first pair was stolen, and had lasted about 5 or 6 years, as well.
I have owned a pair of Sennheiser HD 280's for a couple years now and they completely cover the ear while at the same time offering good noise canceling quality. The noise canceling is even better while the music is playing even at a low level. They are pretty inexpensive for the quality (which is great all-around). This was the first time I really "experienced" the music instead of listened to it. A new pair will set you back about $90 on amazon. The only real problem with these is the size, but I find it very difficult to get truly dynamic range with small headphones. As far as a comparison with Bose noise canceling, I have heard from other previous Bose Quiet Comfort owners who currently own Sennheiser's. They say the Bose are not as good quality-wise as the Sennheiser and they go for close to $300 as far as I know.
