Jukes - 02-16-2008, 11:43 PM

Didn't see a software section,so I put this here in Music Gadgets.

I just added this application for testing,it seems to be a stand alone application for your music collection.
For most people, you can load up your entire music collection.
There just might be a few here that exceed it's capabilities.

Jukes has been tested with a collection of 5000+ full albums with over 55,000 songs and a 320 GIG hard drive.
The only downside, which may be considered as a good side as well,is that is java based and it does use some resources.
Quote:
Jukes is a Java application that is quite resource intensive. We recommend at least a 1 Ghz machine with 512 MEG RAM running JRE 6 or higher.
I have been giving this a try,and so far it looks real good.
It works on all OS platforms.
Give it a look at if you want.

I couldn't find any manuals to learn how to use it,but it don't take long to figure it out.
It does crash if you ask it to do things it isn't supposed to do(because you didn't figure out how to use it yet),but that would be your fault, not the fault of the application.

The FAQ link

Hi rolly

Thanks for the tip. Being able to share the Jukes database across a network is quite an appealing feature. I'll definitely give this a go when I have a spare moment
