Logitech FreePulse Bluetooth Headphones - 02-23-2008, 12:33 AM

I recently purchased these as I wanted some stereo wireless headphones that would let me move about the room while previewing music on-line. I do a lot of this late at night and have to use headphones so as not to disturb sleeping members of the household.

These will plug into just about anything (even the large headphone jack on your amp, with a suitable adaptor). They are very light and quite comfortable (although I have about a 2-3 hour tolerance limit with any headphones including my old and superbly comfortable ear enclosing Yamahas).

The sound quality is quite good and the pads make an effective seal on the ears. They are extremely convenient and I have used them with my computer, iPod, TV and even the little transmitter you get at the football to listen to the refs and commentators . They will also be good skiing and bushwalking as you can stow your MP3 player somewhere safe and dry with no distracting wires routed through your underwear. The sound can be turned on or off from one of the earpieces, as well as adjust the volume. However, unlike some of these devices that are made specifically for iPods, you cannot shuffle or advance tracks.

Like a lot of these gadgets, the big question mark is the batteries. The battery life (about 7 hours) is not an issue with me because of the way I use headphones. I just hope the re-chargeable batteries are high quality as they appear to be non-replaceable.

I paid AU$60 (about US$58).
