Those and the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 ( http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,19872,00.asp ), are great buys. I went for the Klipschs when I found 'um for 97.00.

Hi aom3,

This is exactly the kind of info I'm interested in these days !

I just tried a set of JBL creature and must say I think it's... s**t compared to my very good but now also very old (so old I can't tell the model) Logitech speakers.

I'll wait till you tell us some more about your experience and may go for a set of those ones if you say it's really good stuff.

One thing is sure, I loved the sound of all Logitech speakers I listened !

I have a "Creature" in the closet. I'll let somebody "adopt" him, very cheaply.

Yer, i have heard of the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1, was actually tempted to go for the amazing acoustic energy speakers , but i went for these logitech ones as i like my songs/games with a lot of bass.

Should be receiving my speakers today.

Sound quality is amazing, really good balance between treble and bass, and the bass is amazing...soft when it needs to be and pumpin when it song is bass driven

Logitech 2.1 - 02-18-2008, 01:26 PM

Got these Logitech Z2300 for Christmas but now my son inherited them. There was so much bass in my office that it made me feel queasy. My son loves them and I went back to my Philips MMS321 2.0 Channel Multimedia Speakers. Good sound for the desktop.

Rev/aom3,

I have the smaller cheaper Z230 which I like a lot and was thinking of upgrading to the Z2300, but you are another person I have read who says perhaps there is too much bass?
I like Rock/Heavy Rock but do not want to be swamped with bass?

I have the Logitech Z230's for my laptop, I like the sound ok as far as clarity but don't get a lot of volume out of satellites. I know I can't be pushing the limits with them, but 3/4 volume doesn't seem like they are that dynamic.

I have a friend with the Harmon Kardon Soundsticks, they are more
expensive but they are the best I've heard without going to 5.1.

Kaeli,

Thank you for that info, I have had a quick look on Amazon and they have over 70 x 5 stars, I will investigate these further, sounds very promising.
