I go Creative also. Had the 4gb Zen Plus. Upgraded to the 8GB. About to upgrade to the 16GB, it has the newer vid screens though I don't know about a screen that big just for the album art? I don't know if guys my age are allowed to watch music vids on a mp3 player. Yes, I would like to have my entire music library on the player, but I travel for a living and the huge hard drive players are still too big for me. I imagine that will change. Each upgrade, I hope to double my storage capacity and stay pocket sized.

I bought my daughter an Ipod nano for Christmas, so I have to struggle with iTunes. None of that for me.

I use Media Monkey to find the album art and move the downloaded RU music to the player. It's fun.

Hi,
I'm using a stage mp4 player.
Got it awhile ago as I didn't want to be carrying an expensive player around everywhere.
It's just 2Gig but takes mini Sd for expansion so works fine for me.
Battery life is claimed at four hours for video and 8 for music but I get way more than that.
I also liked the 2.2inch screen which is clear enough to watch movies.
It's been dropped and banged about on a bike daily and still works perfectly.

many of us will own many players, old and new. then comes the wife, the kids,
friends. the car, the weekend retreat. more players.

if i could find my old ones (1996/97?), i think i would be amazed how many i
actually owned.

and then we move onto another thread about quality, compression ratios, personal
listening abilities, and mainly, compatibility. and we are back to MP3, at rates
below 192 kbit/s, so it will all play at the wifes/kids/friends ... ... ... ... ...

as sad as it might sound, but the industry holds us in a bind, here.

I'm using an iPod Touch 16GB.

I used to have:
Creative Zen Jukebox (huge thing!)
Creative Zen Touch
iPod Video 5G 30GB

I like the iPods as you've got a line out through the dock which is miles better quality than the headphone port - useful when listening through a hifi

I still have my original Sony Walkman cassette player from 1984 that I bought with my first pay packet.
Still works too!

Like you I still have a couple of Walkmans kicking about somewhere.

I also have a Discman which I still use on odd occasions, but I mainly use my Creative Zen Vision M these days.

Never owned an iPod - but I do have an iPaq

If you have one watch you know what the time is. But if you have two you don't know which one is right.

The more advice you get the more confusing it becomes.

>> still have my original Sony Walkman cassette player from 1984

starcat, ashleyj, and others that will most certainly fill in here: i am glad
i am not alone. sometimes i have to hide them, but i keep all those things
too, most of them in fair working condition. including the very first (huge)
philips CD player, and the first SONY portable CD walkman (1982 ?).

great times this was.

No reason to be ashamed of keeping them Henry.

Not long ago I came across and old tape from the 70s and if it had not been for a Walkman I would not have been able to listen to it.
My music system does not have tape capability and the car has a CD changer.

not ashamed of keeping them, its just the quantity of 'that junk' (not my words)
that upsets 'others'. and where it turns up: between stored bedsheets, the winter
garderobe, in the basement between the vegetables - but what am i to do?
