This animal must be fed and they have determined that 99 cents is the acceptable rate it seems.

Thanks for the info...
Hi DonRas.

I'm not quite sure if you understood that by The MAFIAA I meant The RIAA, which uses similar methods as their Sicilian counterpart

Do you think 99 cents AND DRM are acceptable?

I guess not - otherwise you probably wouldn't use these sites, would you?

P.S. Please read PM

Maybe I should phrase my question a little differently, like, is my wad safe - dude? !!!

__ Yahhh Right
__ Not so much
__ Be afraid, very afraid

Please check one. 8-)

I am only asking the questions that anyone from the mainstream would ask, in the first MP3Fiesta forum that I found on google. I am as resourceful as Google - no more, no less.

It's interesting that this part of this forum is the only one I've found for MP3Fiesta, and the threads are generally pretty stale, like months old. So either I'm one of the first to come along or this is a long way off the beaten path for reasons unknown, certainly it's not the price and selection, which is good, very good.

But if it's just a small group of music lovers, that's cozy enough for me. I've downloaded really great stuff so far - Acroma, Kings of Leon, AC/DC... What's to question - it's great rock on the cheap.[/QUOTE
Your assumptions of me may be as incorrect as mine of yours.

But I have a obligation to this community as well to the site owners
that frequent here to there privacy of information.

Okay, I see you meant the RIAA rather than MAFIAA™ - Music And Film Industry Association of America™ which I assumed you meant. See, I can be reckless with the power of Google and must not be trusted with it completely.

Yet, the specifics are not the major issue with me, I am just trying to understand things MP3 from all perspectives.

I would like to know how the 99 cent value was arrived at by the powers that seem to have approved it. My guess is it is the amount that allows enough room to make some profit and still pay for super bowl advertising and vast legal personnel.

Hi DonRas.

The MAFIAA.org website was made public approximately 1˝ years ago and hasn't been updated since. It was launched on April 1 2006 to be more precise

Oh - I get it - seems like I'm in good company after all. Reminds me of one of my favorite MP3's - "The Walls Came Down," by The Call.

I do some DNN coding, that history runs along the same lines, that one turned out pretty good - I think.

C U...
