Also, has anyone noticed that several different Russian websites have the exact same bitrates for the same albums, even when they're varied? Are they all owned by the same people and just have different names to confuse the authorities? And us? And they get more money this way too since we have to make deposits.
Hi ipodfan.

Here is some words from Solution (the MP3Fiesta administrator): http://www.aom3.org/forum/mp3fiesta/...html#post20880

I have noticed that too and I guess that they either have the same provider or download the albums from each other and resell them

I hope someone can help - 11-10-2007, 08:18 PM

I joined mp3fiesta last night, had them charge my card $20.00 based on positive reviews on this forum, downloaded 2 hard to find albums for a total of $2.49 and went to bed. This morning I have a balance of $0.00, no downloads in the "downloads" section of MP3F, and the downloads that completed into the folder I specified are fractured. Not one song plays through correctly. They range in length from 30 sec to cutting the last 45 secs off the end of the song. I am beyond pissed at this point, and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I have contacted them 2x already, and will let my bank take care of it if I don't hear anything by tomorrow.

Any advice?

Mel

Wow. This looks like the beginning of the end for mp3fiesta. It was becoming my favorite website because of the prices and choice of music and ease of download, but this is unacceptable. I tried to add to my balance yesterday but couldn't because of problems with mastercard. I think I'll just move on. I'm sorry about your experience. Mine had been sterling up until now. I even downloaded my last CD from them yesterday and it plays perfectly. You will be able to get your money back from your credit card, so at least there's comfort in that. Thanks for letting us know. There were so many new Russian music sites that sprouted up when aom3 started having their problems, but I think they're beginning to all disintegrate and we'll all end up with the mother ship.

Cheer up, guys - I'm sure Solution will look at both your cases and solve them. Give him a few days (easy for me to say, I know - but still)

Hi Solaris,

I can understand the payment problems with mastercard being a problem they can resolve, but what really concerns me is their lack of responsiveness, balances still showing zero even after payments have gone through successfully and tracks being distorted. This does not sound good at all and I don't think I want to deal with them even if they respond to these recent postings. Just like I won't deal with mp3stor anymore.

Then I would go with MusicMP3, MP3Sale and SoundsBox if I were you

As a long term fan and user of mp3fiesta, I can only say any problems I have had (a couple) have always been sorted and on the odd occasion a refund has been given. I refilled my balance yesterday using VISA and it updated my account within the hour. Full albums new and old for 99 cents with sometimes 320 kbps for no extra (the new Serj Tankian for instance) is a big pull for me!

Don't think you will have to worry about dealing with Stor, at least in the short term, as they have been down for the better part of 2 weeks!

Good Luck - Mark

Was just able to add funds onto Fiesta without problem. Money showed up right away and I was able to download a couple of albums.

I am also very surprised to hear these problems with MP3Fiesta. I've been using the service for the better part of 3 months and have never had to wait for balance updates (about 10 min. wait at most). I have had no problems downloading, which is simple once you master using FlashGet. The only time I had a problem with an album, my money was refunded in a day or so and the album was pulled almost immediately (and later replaced with a working version).

Very surprising to hear these complaints.
