Been following the discussion about the possible launch on Mp3Fiesta and video.

Is there any update?

I sent an email to Assistance on Fiesta about a week ago and have yet to receive a response. Is it possible that it the launch is not supposed to be public knowledge?

Hi Mark

I agree that they are taking their time launching this new service but maybe they just want to wait until everything works perfectly

Or maybe they want everything to quit down a bit again after their new service and ZML were mentioned all over the internet (and even in the papers in my part of the world) last week

I am in no really big hurry to fill up another hard drive, but am having so much fun with audio I thought I would extend it to video!

Apple has apparently learned this lesson the hard way, as it has reportedly relented, for better or worse, in its long-standing face off with Hollywood movie studios over pricing in the iTunes Store.

Since its debut in 2006, the iTunes Store's movie section hasn't exactly flooded with customers in the way its music aisles have. While many will be quick to blame the more restrictive DRM applied to movies (e.g., no ability to even back up the files from within iTunes), a major culprit of lackluster iTunes movie acceptance is the paltry selection.

So far, only Disney, Paramount and their respective satellite studios have hopped on board, with the rest of Hollywood tapping its foot and wishing for such DRM abilities as charging for each time a movie is paused, as well as an iPod electro-shock feature that can knock out owners who allow one or more friends to watch a 2 square-inch movie with them.
