Why cover up for FIESTA ??? -
05-26-2008, 09:38 AM
what i dont understand: the price-doubling of FIESTA was now well over a week ago, but still here (and on
RuTunes) on almost all listings and comparisons it still shows up with 10c/song, while in reality it is 20c.
it might be alright to protect a previously good service, and even give them the benefit of the doubt, and even
a chance to correct or respond, but it is unfair to all the others if such a service is kept in the top ten when it
should be at the very bottom, pricewise.
not everybody checks all forum discussions permanently, but might only go for the lists and tests, and will
thus be malinformed.
please, whoever is in charge: FIESTA is 20c/song for 99.9% of us, and should show as such.

To be accurate, 20 cents a track is the absolute minimum charge, longer tracks rise accordingly. For example, if you take one of my favourite bands Dream Theater and their last studio album called Systematic Chaos, it has 8 x tracks and the prices per track are:-
1) 34 cents
2) 22 cents
3) 26 cents
4) 34 cents
5) 40 cents
6) 22 cents
7) 58 cents
8) 64 cents
As you can see, not many 20 cent tracks there?
So in summing up I agree their review should be redone to reflect their new pricing policy.

Luckily I downloaded Systematic Chaos before the price rise
Oh and here is MP3Fiesta's response to my support query:
Hello,
Requirements of organization that licensed us are have changed and we
have to raise prices to increase copyright royalties.
Best regards,
MP3fiesta support team,
E-mail: support3@mp3fiesta.com
Doesn't make sense why they are still 'covering' for them. We aren't talking about an insignificant price rise here...

Hi henry66
I just want to point out that I updated the ' Cheapest Russian/Ukrainian Online Music Stores (By Track)'-thread SIX full days ago: http://www.aom3.org/forum/34731-post30.html
In which MP3Fiesta went from being second only to LegalSounds slipping ALL the way down to a shameful last position

It would have been good if the fiesta rep. could have came on here and made a statement on the mp3fiesta changes, don't remember ever seeing that. That's OK, when my balance is gone from them I won't be re-filling. There's other options that seem to want to treat their customers a bit more professionally.

solaris, you'd be the last one i would have thought would cover up for them, and the last one
i would think that about. i guess there are just to many places where they are mentioned, and
the constant ref to RuTunes also does not help, there they are still on 0.10ec and 3rd place in line.
but closer to home: look here in the forum at the heading for FIESTA - ''... Rutunes Rating: 94% |
Price Per Track: $0.10 ...''. just scroll up to the forum header to see it ...

Hi Henry
You're absolutely right and it would have been nice, if I had direct writing access to RuTunes - but I don't
So I guess we'll have to see, if aom3 (himself) updates this false advertisement for MP3Fiesta before too long
