Why, I'd never!

By the way, what is your stand on using apostrophe inside the plural form of acronyms? (e.g. CDs vs CD's)

I always appreciate the emails letting me know I haven't been on the forum for a while. What was nice to read is the positive review about B.B.'s new album. I haven't jumped on it yet because I bought a four disc box set recently and Buddy Guy's new album Bring 'Em In (I dig the sounds he gets out of his gear!). So reading the review has made me decide there's no time like the present to buy it.

About B.B.'s age, I had a unique opportunity to meet him back in the early '80s at a nightclub in Edmonton, Canada. He was sitting in a booth, by himself, just chilling before he was going to play about an hour later. No one else was on that side of the club yet. And here's me certainly having heard B.B. and some of his music thinking this guy's career is certainly on the way out playing in a place like this! I visited with him for about 20 minutes.

I always look back on it and can't believe I really wasn't aware of how great an artist I was lucky enough to be chatting with. Sometime's ignorance is bliss, because it was such a casual visit and I wasn't star struck. The downside of ignorance is I didn't even hang around to hear him play. It was just another beer filled night in our youth. Little would I know how big a fan I would become of his.
