Kenny Wayne Sheperd - 07-30-2007, 04:54 PM

Kenny Wayne Shepherd (sorry)

Would like to recommend the latest KWS album called "10 Days Out", 15 duets with some of the best Bluesmen alive, including Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, B B King, Howlin Wolf Band, Muddy Walters Band and many more, some really great blues music. It has just been added to mp3fiesta at 99 cents, only 160 kbps, but sounds OK to me, how can you go wrong at that price?

Chris,

Sounds like a really fine Blues album..with this lineup It's hard to go wrong..
But Kenny Wayne can hold the album all by his self....My favorite album by him is Trouble Is with a kicking version of Dylan's "Everything is Broken".
Thanks for this excellent recommend..I know all Blues fan's are now very curious..without it I wouldn't of known of it's existence..I'm definitely going to check it out..For those of you who don't use Mp3fiesta it is also available on Mp3sparks.

Thanks again,

Nightfly

Hi Chris

I think Kenny Wayne Shepherd is one of the best young blues/guitar players. I downloaded this album 10 Days Out because I was curious about him and was a great discovering. Even my wife, who is now watching what I'm writing, likes KWS although she doesn't know who is he

Hi Nightfly,

I will make a point of checking that out in the near future as well, my only other KWS album is "Ledbetter Heights"

Ledbetter Heights is a better over all around Blues record.. on Trouble IS
he leans a little bit towards Southern-Blues-Rock...The album has some
really great moments that really rock but.. a bit uneven though..But
as I said "Everything is Broken" is a classic on this album..better than
Dylan himself..

Funny, I love his other cds, but am reluctant to go for this. Why? not sure, but to me, his is too new breed for me. I mean, He is totally awesome, but doesn't have the raw power of some of the players listed. I am afraid of being disappointed. Noah Definitely helps him along alot, so , I am reluctant. Good thing is, when I am usually this reluctant, it turns to happily surprised!
