Lately I've been listening alot to
Howlin Wolf one of my favorites blues singer harp players and sometimes slide players, he's always raw and powerful and he could rock the house playing the Jukejoints through the South of the US.
These are my recommends or what I recently downloaded:
Howlin Wolf Sings The Blues...This has some rare stuff that I never seen before ...right after he left Chess he recorded for Modern 51-52 for a year..These are those tracks with a rocking band, with natural sustain coming from his guitar player,a boogie woogie piano player,The Wolfs screamin raw vocals ,one listen and you can tell rock and roll was eminent. Allofmp3 and has this one
Howlin Wolf London Sessions: With a band Like Eric Clapton,Bill Wyman,
Charlie Watts and Steve Windwood in there prime 1972 ..How can you go wrong..The Wolf is in great form despite his declining years and health..and
this too is a rocking blues record..not all superstar records work out..
But this is the best of those kind of hookups.. get it at.. allofmp3 mp3stor
Live And Cookin at Alice's Revisted: Great Live album Wolf made before he
passed 1972 with a great traditional bar blues band..very soulful and rocking
