Nightfly,

I looked for Vivaldi on allTunes and there is quite a few versions of the Four Seasons so I have picked one at random - Neville Mariner?

Was there any particular version I should have gone for?

Also I am downloading Bach's Violin Concertos from Millisong - BACH J.S.
Violin Concertos - Szeryng, Marriner

I must admit I have heard of most of the above, and have probably heard some of them without realising what they were. I will check them out as a start to my new experience in the classics.

A concert does sound good - all I need is a knowledgeable teacher to accompany me!
Yes Ashley it is very basic and I know you have heard many of these melodies
before. It's just something to get you jump started. We can do a lot better,
later on for you.

The Mariner one is very nice, and that's a nice Bach selection as well.

Both offer very good traditional readings with good sound.

Thanks Nightfly, I am looking forward to listening to them and knowing what I am hearing.

I have also received a recommendation from a stranger , so I will check that out as well.
