Thumbs up Bach - The Three Sonatas For Viola Da Gamba And Harpsichord - 05-19-2008, 01:54 AM

In this recording from 1974 featuring Glenn Gould on piano and
Leonard Rose on cello. There is a definite chemistry there between
these two artists and the sonatas are beautiful.Gould's playing
though played on a modern piano, has the right finesse and speed
to give this a perfect Baroque/Bach interpretation and Rose was
a pure master of his instrument.

Highly recommended..found this one on Sparks.I kept a balance
there for such reasons..if you have,it's worth the investment.

There's a couple of music styles that I'm trying to listen to and learn more about: jazz and classical. I ended up getting the Classical Masterworks Box Set that has 40 cds and everyone from Bach to Handel and Vivaldi. The 2 Bach cds in the set have been the ones I've liked and listened to the most.

I'll keep my eyes out for this one also.

Wow 40 cds of any music could be overwhelming for any body to explore..

Now that you know you like Bach, might I sugest his Violin Concertos
which are part of everyones basic library, and the Bradenberg Concertos
are also lively and easy to get into as well.
