Classical music site worth a visit! - 09-05-2008, 09:25 PM

I'm not sure how to most effectively get this out to any Classical Music 'buffs' on this forum ... so I'll just put it in this new thread and hope you all see it!

*NOTE: I'm not selling anything on the site, there are no pop-ups, ads, or any crap at all ! Just great music with some commentary. Hope you enjoy it.

Thanks Nightfly. Let me know if you can think of a more effective way of letting people on the forum know about my site.

Anytime you have content that you think that would be interesting
for the community, post it here with a description and a link to the
content.
Is there any content for newbies for Classical.People
that have a slight interest and would like to cross over to the genre.
You have a vast knowlege that should be shared.

Thanks for sharing,

Nightfly

I wish I did have a vast knowledge! It's growing. But with the miracle of the internet anyone can sound like an 'expert'! You just have to know how to search the net for "the knowledge" that others share.

Welcome Johnmark2,

eMusic as you already know has a nice selection. Mclub a russian music
site has a nice classical selection.Alltunes if you can find pincodes to fund it.
Most of the others .ru sites have classical but the collection is spotty and filled
with war horses.

Sorry I not familiar with Joseph Gabriel RhienBerger .Can you tell be from what
period is his music from?

Hi Jim-Sorry I haven't visited your site for a while. For those here who enjoy classical, Jim's site is worth a visit. A great place to have an intelligent conversation about classical. He's down in sunny Australia, enjoying summer. -4 F up here yesterday. Yikes. I am primarily interested in classical, and find Alltunes has about the best classical catalog. However, at the suggestion of Nightfly, I have also visited MP3skyline and Millisong, although neither of them recently. The Skyshare Manager is pretty good to use. Nightfly-I had the pleasure some years ago of seeing and hearing Virgil Fox in concert. He used to put on quite a show. He brought Bach to a lot of folks who might never have come in touch.

Apologies-Sorry I didn't notice that Jim's post was over a year old. I actually went to his site originally as a result of reading that post. I noted this evening that his site is still up and active. Still a great place to listen to some music and talk about it.

Hello all Classical lovers. I've spent a lot of time recently adding heaps of music, trying to make the site more "user friendly" and just generally spiffing it up!
