Paganini - violin & guitar - 01-06-2008, 11:36 PM

I just noticed Sparks have added an album with Gil Shaham (violin) and Goran Sollscher (guitar) playing Paganini sonatas. Shaham is a favorite of mine and I have owned this CD for a while and give it a 5 star rating.
They have also released a 'Schubert for Two' album which, IMHO, is even better. Shaham's interpretation of the Ave Maria is 7 minutes of the most beautiful music you are ever likely to hear

Hello Squash,

This is something right up my alley. As a guitar player and my love for
the violin..this sounds like a winner. But at the present time I can not download from Sparks, I am blocked from Sparks and Alltunes...lol..a double whammy.
But I will seek this one out used on Amazon.

Thanks for the recommend.

Hi Nightfly, glad you like it. I'm sure you would also enjoy the 'Schubert for Two' just as much if you ever come across it.

Regards,
Squash
