Barry Manilow, Il Divo, Michael Bolton, Yanni and Celine Dion should all be shipped to a deserted island and abandoned there.

They do have their uses.

One of the local councils was having a problem with gangs of young hoons hanging about a pubic mall in the early hours and making a nuisance of themselves. So they started playing Barry Manilow music over a loud speaker system and, hey presto, problem soved.

Of course, NOBODY else would go near the place, either

When you repel everything, your market is going to be somewhat limited

But back to real music - I know you like classical guitar, and in a couple of weeks I'm going to a concert with John Williams and John Etheridge. You may not be familiar with the second John (cue Nightfly) but there is an album on Sparks of them playing "Live in Dublin" - Highly recommended

Squash,

Sounds wonderful I have quite a few recordings by John Williams brilliant
classical guitarist, whom took master classes with Segovia, John Eheridge
plays classical riffs on electric but not to hard...still maintains the integrity of the melody and theme,he also plays jazz.It should be a good pairing...
I will look to see if they have a album together..will report back later.

I love the acoustic version of "Won't Get Fooled Again" by John Williams
and Pete Townshend....now there's a paring.
From "the Policeman's Other Ball" benefit concert in UK in the late 70's.
