The first has recently been listed on
eMusic and is one of my favorite 'modern' symphonies and which has not, to my knowledge, been available to DL on any of the other sites. It is
Gorecki's 3rd - his symphony of sorrowful songs. Three slow movenments with a soprano soloist featuring in the second and third movements. It is a hauntingly melancholy and beautiful work. I have the CD of the Zinman/Upshaw version. However, I DL'd the version on
eMusic and in my opinion it is as good (and at a high bitrate) plus you get three other little gems of orchestral music thrown in.
The second has recently been listed on Sparks/MM and is a collection of short pieces for viola and piano called
Asturiana - Songs from Spain and Argentina with Kim Kashkashian (viola) and Robert Levin (piano). Highly recommended.
