Does anyone really listen to boybands like Backstreet boys, Boyzone, Westlife, Nsync anymore. I used to love them when i was growing up but now I prefer more of rock

I am a bit too old for the bands you mentioned, but growing up in the eighties and I was mad about Duran Duran, Wham, Spandau Ballet, etc. When I got my first i-pod ~2 years ago, I started loading all of my old CD and when I got to these I just cringed and did not bother. Your music tastes just change, and they always will (not just when you stop becoming a teenager). When Coldplay's Parachutes came out in 2000 I must have played it to death, now I think it is okay (at best) and in another 7 years time I think I will be cringing again and taking it of whatever MP3 player I have in my pocket. Having said that, the girl I work with is still absolutely mad about Take That, but there is no accounting for taste,
Cheers,
Dave C

I think we only like these bands when we are teenagers because they were nice to look at and everyone else loved them too. I dont listen to any of it now either. In fact when I do hear something from one of my old "crushes" I laugh and realize how terrible it really was.

Are you kidding me? Duran Duran are amazing. Quality stuff. "Come Undone, "Ordinary World" and "Save a prayer" are 3 of my only 100 5-star rated songs on my ipod... and I have A LOT of music.

Not a boy band but if we're talking 80's you can't forget Men at Work. They, like Duran Duran, have some staying power and some of theirs still sounds good.

If I must choose, between the EX Mrs Federline's NEW cd, or The new Backstreet Boys cd, I will gladly take BSB. This is pure pop, not much like the stuff on current t40 today. Back in the late 90s, all the songs were unique, and different, why, it was a pop explosion. Now, turn on the radio, and all the songs sound similar. Timbaland, Justin, Britney, Nelly F, etc....all too similar. There are some T40 gems out there, butthey are few and far between.

lol, I listen to music about 16 hours a day (no tv for me), so I don't do repetitive well, hence my not having much love for current t40. I do love my xm, cd, and mp3 collection though.
