Tina Dico - 05-01-2008, 03:31 PM

Just the other day I've come across this Danish young singer/songwriter Tina Dico's English speaking album "Count to Ten".

Some very catchy tunes, organic sound, pleasant voice, acoustic guitar and chamber quartet on some tracks. Listened to the whole album eagerly and highly recommend it.

She's been around in Denmark for most of the past decade, according to Wikipedia, and in 2006 won a Denmark equivalent of the Grammys for "Singer of the Year". Dave and Hirs would have fun with this album.

I've been wondering that myself, actually for past couple of days. Back to Poland?

Thanks for the recommend, Vik
Sounds good from what you say. Will have a listen to it when I can.

My girlfriend is precisely like a Danish: She also tastes very well, when I cover her in raspberry marmalade

To be a little more serious: She (my girlfriend ) really IS Danish and has both albums by Tina Dicow, which oddly enough is the name she's promoted under in her native country

Not a big fan of danishes in general; specifically ones covered in raspberry marmalade.

However, this artist's real last name is Dickow, with a K, but she is being marketed as Dico , according to Wikipedia for "phonetic differences among American English speakers".

Not being one to ever dispute anything written on Wikipedia , I shall accept their explanation of their marketing strategy

I do think she might have some sort of Eastern European roots
