What exactly is pop - 06-04-2007, 04:43 AM
I know that seems like a silly question. But it seems like these days everything that fits into this category also fits into another. I am just wondering if there is a standard set of rules that defines "pop"

Good question... Justin Timberlake is pop..by no means rock... Madonna
Britney ...Barbara Streisand.. Pop is short for Popular Music the great Tony Bennett is considered Pop but is also a great Jazz artist so
sometimes a artist may cross genres Like Beyonce ..R&B/pop ...but no matter what you label it as long as you enjoy it ..thats the bottom line..
