Thumbs up Decemberists update - 06-22-2007, 09:52 PM

Just to let you know that allofmp3 have just done an excellent update and now have the whole of the 'Decemberists' back catalogue. These are perhaps the best indie-folk-rock group this decade and are well worth a listen. Picaresque is perhaps the best starting point if you have not tried them before. If you disagree with these comments, tell me who's better....
Cheers,
Dave C

The critics say that 'Castaways and Cutouts', followed by 'The Crane Wife' are the ones to go for; but for me Picaresque is easily the best, followed by '5 songs' EP then 'The Crane Wife'; but all the albums are good.
Cheers,
Dave C

Bit embarrassing, but I just checked in my i-tunes and I downloaded the Shins album a couple of months ago (just after I got into MM and was in my download everything phase) and I have never listened to it . I shall rectify this tomorrow.

If you like The Beta Band, the new The Aliens release is a must have...
