Got to give a recommend for one of my favorite Oz indie bands, the John Butler Trio. John is a brilliant guitarist and talented song writer. The music is a mixture of blues/folk through to rock. At least 3 of his albums are on Sparks/MM and MP3Sale. Also, his web site has 9 good quality tracks to listen to and a couple of videos which represents a good cross-section of his work. The track "Ocean" is a fine instumental piece featuring John on a old 12 string Dobro.
The band is just about to start a tour of the USA.

well...What a great sound he has musically and sonics wise..
I like the separate player he has on his site. Very positive and uplifting music ...I have one CD that was given to me.
I shall return to it and give it a good listen, and DL some of his albums.

I really tried, for a few days, to get into them. I had heard a few tracks on xm, didn't love them , but, felt some interest. Sadly, for me, they are missing something, and I can't put my finger on what.
