Post Grunge - 05-29-2007, 06:41 AM

One of my Favorite bands Nirvana gave birth to a new generation
of post grunge players that picked up on their raw high energy playing
with the ability to find great hooks...

Dinosaur Jr...Beyond...... is one of these new releases that reflect that feel
D.Jr came out about the same time as Nirvana but now find them selfs
on the the great mostly blues Indie label ..Fat Possum ..that feature
The Black Keys , RL Burnside, Junior Kimbrough And The Soul Blues Boys
and other great blues performers...They play great raw rock and roll with great hooks and spontaneous playing..Great stuff..

The Foo Fighters direct decedents of Nirvana also give us great grunge with
great songs with great hooks...all their records are great.

Fall Out Boy..Infinity on High ...Good fun songs played with a hard edge
American Hi-Fi... more of the same...some edgy tunes with wit and a good hook..
Teenage FanClub ..Capture The 70's power pop mixed with grunge..Good Vocals
These record are meant to be fun with a occasional poignant moment..

Enjoy them for what they are..fun

Ahhhhh... I thought it was perhaps because he spelled Nirvana with 2 "N"s

That too gave him away - I even corrected this in the quote
